About Winfrida Ngaruko

A Cyber Security Master's graduate with experience in Human Factors, driven by a passion for understanding the 'human' side of technology and engineering. A BSc in Computer Science and Technology has also equipped me with a unique blend of technical knowledge and a deep appreciation for the human elements of cyber security. As a Graduate Human Factors Consultant at AtkinsRéalis, I am focused on optimising system design in high hazard industries such as nuclear and rail to enable safe and effective human performance. This experience in human factors engineering has given me a unique perspective on how to create systems that prioritize user safety and efficiency and this in turn has reinforced my commitment to incorporating human factors into cyber strategies. Being a Cyber PATH student has enabled me to deliver tailored cyber security services to SMEs, helping them navigate the complex landscape of digital threats while prioritizing user-friendly solutions. My educational journey has taken me from all over the world, fuelling my love for travel and learning about different cultures. My diverse educational background and multicultural experiences have sharpened my ability to approach problems from various angles and communicate effectively across different cultures. Looking to connect with professionals who share my passion for cyber security and human factors / ergonomics. Let's collaborate to create human-friendly solutions and advance our understanding of the human elements in technology. Feel free to reach out to discuss potential collaborations, share insights, or simply connect over our shared interests.
