About Winnie Lam

As a "Global Citizen," I am open to cross-cultural exchange. Born in Hong Kong, raised in the United States, and currently reside in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from university, worked as an English teacher at a public elementary school in Japan. Then started my career at advertising field. For the first five years, I have been focusing on inbound promotions for tourists visiting Japan, as a planner, director, and producer, collaborating with overseas media, and planning and proposing events. Main clients were Japanese branded products, railroad companies, commercial facilities, hotels and inns, and tourism associations. At the same time, my team also launched and developed the owned media "JAPANKURU", utilizing the know-how of foreign residents in Japan, for PR, branding development, and content marketing. Afterwards, I have abundant experience in planning, implementing, and operating large-scale international events and travel expositions overseas with both private companies and governmental organizations. Cross cultural understandings, communications, cooperation and leadership skills are the significant to the success. During the pandemic, as a project director of the promotional activities to invite official participation at the Dubai World Expo2020, I have become more confident toward unprecedented challenges. Furthermore, I realized entertainment might not be necessary to everyone; however, it is essential to give hope and enrich most of our lives. I would like to be involved in works solving global and social issues as well as ideas of enriching and entertaining people's lives.
