About Winnie Li

Winnie Li is a tourism researcher from China. After graduating from Jimei University, China with a Bachelor degree in Law, she worked as a consultant for Legal Aid Center in Kunming. Her law degree and working experience helped her think logically and analytically. She also has professional experience in the hospitality industry, which developed her customer service and communication skills. Her passion for tourism motivated her to do a postgraduate degree in tourism management. She is pursing the Master of International Sustainable Tourism Management at Monash University. Her previous research includes a study on the potential attitudes of local Australian university students to visit South East Asia. She also worked on the research projects about sustainable tourism development along the Great Ocean Road and contemporary tourism development in Fiji as an emerging economy. She is eager to make a difference on sustainable development in tourism industry. Among her topics of interest within the field she hopes to study how western business should approach the fast-growing Chinese outbound markets.
