About Witold Orlik

I am creative person that welcomes challenges. I am not easily giving up however if the task is beyond my current abilities, I will ask others for guidance. I am willing to share my experience with other colleagues and co-workers. I am convinced that win-win options are often the best ones when cooperating or mentoring others. Seeing in a student's eyes enthusiasm, understanding of the ideas, and satisfaction after overcoming obstacles is a reward in itself. Possibility to interact with people on one-to-one basis and working in a team is welcome. On the other hand, current PhD experience offers me opportunities to expand my confidence, efficacy, and independence (being self-employed for a number of years was a good prep for PhD). In 'emergency'​ situations I proved to be a good organizer and a problem-solver. Honesty, loyalty, and reliability are among principles I value. Almost always motivated, I am working toward high quality standards. Family and personal interest in music gives me space to 'recharge' and keep balance between work and spare time.
