About Wolfgang Deil

Communications and PR expert with more than 25 years of experience in editorial, corporate communications and marketing. My focus: effective content, strategic communications and combining traditional PR with digital and AI-supported solutions. I currently head up the editorial & AI department at mai public relations GmbH and am responsible for content and strategic development. Previously, I worked there as a senior PR consultant and team lead. My focus areas: team leadership, content strategy, C-level consulting and cross-media communication. As deputy editor-in-chief at Build-Ing. magazine (HUSS-MEDIEN), I developed digital strategies, created specialist content and successfully organised industry events (including BIM Days Germany, Startup Challenge BIM-Löwen). At Bauverlag BV GmbH, I was editor-in-chief of the trade journal ZI Ziegelindustrie International and managed the ZI Yearbook of Brick Architecture – including project management, editing and stakeholder management in the field of architects, engineers and associations. Before working in publishing, I implemented projects for clients in the construction, architecture, industry, IT and association sectors as a PR consultant in leading agencies and as a freelance communications consultant – including for Deutsche Poroton, Wienerberger, DGfM, Arup and the Federal Ministry of Health. Previous positions at Siemens AG and Argillon GmbH included roles as press spokesperson, change communication project manager and marketing manager.
