Background
About Woody River
As an enthusiastic and dynamic English teacher with QTS and CELTA, I am committed to raising academic standards and creativity within my students while celebrating diversity through my textual choices, particularly through my commitment to using world literature as well as English literature. By designing successful learning strategies and materials, developing their subject knowledge and promoting high expectations of verbal communication, as well as academic and creative writing, I have enabled my students to feel engaged, inspired and challenged. I encourage my students to develop effective study skills and seek to nurture within them a life-long appreciation of literature, language and a love of learning within the arts and humanities. I now work solely online, teaching individual lessons to international students overseas in the mornings and UK-based students in the afternoons and evenings, focusing on school entrance examination schools (private and grammar), KS3, GCSE / IGCSE, UKiset, CAT 4 and IELTS. Additionally, I develop e-learning materials for several organisations, focusing on skills required for KS3, 11+ and 13+.
