About Wouter Devroe

Wouter Devroe is Dean of the Faculty of Law and Criminology at KU Leuven. He is Full professor of EU and Competition law there, as well as part-time Full professor of ‘Competition Law’ at Maastricht University. He is an attorney at the Brussels Bar (Director - Of Counsel, Deloitte Legal, EU and Competition), and Assessor at the Belgian Competition Authority. Wouter previously clerked at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and was a member of the adjudicating branch of the Belgian Competition Authority (Raad voor de mededinging / Conseil de la concurrence). He authored +150 books and articles in the fields of EU, economic, competition and tax law. As an attorney, he represents companies and public authorities before national courts and authorities and before the European Commission and the EU courts in Luxembourg.
