About Wouter Geels

My story at ASML starts in 2016, when I started as a Sequence Owner, responsible for the workpreparation for different Source configurations which ASML has introduced. After that, around medio 2018, I became a Module Owner, managing the integration of the EUV Source into our 3400C Scanner. Some time later my scope increased and I became responsible for a whole system build, up to the phase the system would be tested and adjusted. My next challenge within ASML started around Q4 of 2021 when I started as Module Owner Bottom Workcenter. My assignment was to set up a workcenter ready to produce the Bottom Module for 3600D and later 3800E systems. Being given a big empty hall and a great team to work with we set to work and around medio 2023 my assignment was done. A very well performing Bottom Workcenter was created and is running smoothly. Around the same time I found a new challenge as a Group Lead for FLS NXE. In my current challenge I manage a team of highly skilled trouble shooting engineers who are taking the lead on the most complex issues our systems can throw at us. Luckily I have a great group of super smart engineers that always find ways to enable progress and who are always ready for the next challenge in solving issues for one of the most complex machines humans have ever invented. I'm super proud to be part of such a great team! Before working for ASML, I worked for a company producing glass food containers. There I got the change to get some experience in the optimisation of several processes within the field of mass production of fast moving consumer goods. Mostly I have worked in change over time reduction projects, introduction of standard operating procedures, optimising of job preparation, training of technicians in LEAN manufacturing, and the implementation of TPM and 5S.
