About Wouter Verheyen

With over two decades of experience in transport law and mobility, I specialize in ensuring fair, sustainable, and innovative solutions in the logistics and transport sectors. As a professor and researcher, I have developed in-depth expertise on the complex legal and social challenges facing the mobilog-sector, including compliance, risk distribution, passenger rights and inclusion, labor conditions, and the balance between commercial interests and social responsibility. My work bridges academic research and practical applications. I lead and support numerous (international) research projects, focusing on platform economy, mobility and sustainable logistics. In addition to my academic role, I advise companies and government bodies on regulatory compliance and business models alignment with the relevant legal framwork. As a recognized expert, I have been invited to parliamentary hearings on working conditions in parcel delivery and have contributed to various studies for the European Commission, including regulatory impact analyses and policy assessments. In addition, I advised numerous sector organisations.
