About Writtimaa Roy

Graduated with a Master's degree in GIS at Arizona State University, with over 2 years of experience with various GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Pro, Arcmap, ArcGIS Enterprise, and QGIS, especially skilled in designing digital maps and analyzing spatial data using SQL programming and other software programs. I gained valuable experience working in both in public and private organizations in their Transportation department, DOTs as a GIS Specialist. Completed my internship at Maricopa County Department of Transportation as a GIS intern, where I supported the planning and operation of transportation systems by integrating innovative GIS technologies to enhance planning and operations for future connectivity. My work involved reviewing construction plans, conducting field verifications, updating roadway signage inventories, and ensuring that geospatial data in asset management systems is accurate and up-to-date. I collaborated with team members to explore new technologies, review Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs), and contribute to the department's ongoing transportation improvement projects, all while aligning my efforts with both departmental needs and my professional development goals.
