About Wyan Shankaruk

Wyan Shankaruk is a proven, people first leader, in the Instrumentation and manufacturing sector. He has been with WIKA Instruments for almost 25 years and currently holds the position of Vice President – Production services which includes Manufacturing and Field Service oversight across the nation. Previously he has held position’s of Electrical Temperature Product Manager and CADD Manager/Specialist with the company. “Building Future Leaders” is something Wyan passionately believes in and this kick-started his volunteer coaching career in minor sports over 30 years ago. Spending almost half of that time coaching without kids in minor hockey enabled Wyan to excel to provincial level coaching assignments. He has won numerous awards for his coaching as a head coach as well as part of a team. Wyan has also spent almost two decades coaching soccer and recently closed this chapter while part of an amazing staff and team at the club level. For the past 6 years Wyan has been on the board of Sport Central – A non profit aiming to “Change Lives Through Sport” by providing equipment to kids in over 15 sports (including providing over 3500 bikes per year). Having held the role of Vice Chair in the past Wyan is currently the Chair of the Fundraising Committee and The Champions Club. He has previously held the position of Chair of the Industry Committee for the Engineering Design & Drafting Technology at NAIT. In his personal time Wyan enjoys time and travel with his family, mountain bikes, and is an avid golfer.
