About Wyllys Mann

Wyllys Mann is SVP of Development for the Upper Midwest region at MVAH Partners. He is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of affordable housing across Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. MVAH relies on him to build relationships with architects, contractors, and financing partners to complete the construction of multi-family rental housing on time and on schedule. Regardless of the location or jurisdiction of his projects, he delivers buildings that exceed the expectations of residents and stakeholders. Wyllys has over 20 years of experience across a variety of real estate subsectors. Before taking his current role he was the Director of Strategic Innovation and Facilities Management at Baird & Warner Real Estate where he was responsible for keeping 2400 real estate brokers and mortgage loan originators ahead of their competition by implementing innovative spaces, technology, and training. Prior to that he helped to launch Affordable Community Energy (ACE), a cutting edge energy efficiency and renewable energy company, which was recognized by the White House and the Department of Energy as a critical contributor to the fight against climate change. Prior to joining ACE in 2011, Wyllys was Director of the Green Business Development Center, that provided technical assistance and hands-on consulting for businesses looking to green their products, processes and programs. In 2007, He was responsible for the redevelopment of Chicago’s first LEED residential property while working at East Lake Management and Development Corp. His leadership goes beyond the office. He is the Vice President of Neighborspace, a public private partnership that transforms vacant lots into community gardens and co-founder of Hyde Park International, an adult recreational soccer club with participants from more than 30 countries. Wyllys was the Michael Smurfit School of Business MBA Class of 2008 “Future Thinker” Scholar. He was among the first generation of LEED Accredited Professionals and is also a Building Performance Institute Building Analyst and HVAC Professional.
