About Xander Moser

I have been working as an audio engineer and A/V technician for the past 12+ years. I am currently an engineer and co-owner at TreeSpeak Studios, as well as an event support technician at the University of St. Thomas. My A/V experience began at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where I was an Event Services Technical Assistant. In addition to setting up A/V equipment for meetings and corporate events, I started running sound for the weekly concerts held on campus. After graduating with a bachelors degree in engineering technology with a concentration in mechanical design, I moved to Minneapolis to pursue my passion in audio engineering. Since moving to Minneapolis I have been working as a freelance audio engineer setting up sound systems, running live sound, and recording local artists. I graduated from the Institute of Production and Recording in December of 2010, and began working as the Event Support Technician at the University of St. Thomas. My duties at St. Thomas include coordinating and setting up audio/visual equipment for all events on two campuses, as well as editing and mixing audio for select video productions. In 2013 I formed TreeSpeak Studios with three other local producers/engineers. We chose a location for the studio and started to remodel the commercial space. I took on managing the remodel, including coordinating construction material purchases, hiring for work requiring licensed sub-contractors, and learning construction techniques (framing, hanging and finishing drywall, etc) in order for our team to complete the construction with the lowest overhead possible. During the remodel process I have also been recording and mixing local artists with a mobile rig.
