About Xara Vaidya

I am a graduate research assistant at the Cancer lab of the biology department at California State University, Fresno, where I am pursuing a master's degree in biology. My core competencies include protein isolation, 3D cell culture, and cell biology. I have a strong background in cancer biology and cell & molecular biology. In my current research project, I investigate intercellular interactions involved in cell migration in breast cancer metastatic to bone, using a proteomic approach. I work with breast cancer cell lines, and apply various techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and mass spectrometry etc. I am passionate about advancing the understanding of cancer biology and developing novel therapeutic strategies. I value collaboration, innovation, and diversity, and I enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team of faculty, students, and researchers. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to new challenges and opportunities in the field of biology.
