About Xavier McDougle

I am a first year student at Wilmington College. I am majoring in both Biology with a health concentration and Chemistry. I also am striving for an agriculture minor in sustainability and am on the professional tract for medical school. I am currently looking for either an internship over the 2025 summer or other possible research opportunities. My email is Xavier.P.McDougle@gmail.com The reason that I am deeply involved in the sciences is due to my lifelong dream of helping others and the environment around us. This dream has driven me to do well in high school and will continue to drive me to extend that success to the collegiate level. With this said, I also have a deep passion for the environment. I believe that the earth allows for us to survive as a species and we need to treat it with reverence and respect. Whilst in college, I have found a knack at microbiology and cellular research. This is shown through the various research projects that I am a part of, such as my work with Klebsiella Pneumoniae and 4TI cells. I have also learned more about the environment through various classes and reading books from leading environmental scientists. Besides my academic adventures, I have multiple unique hobbies. For starters, I am a member of the Wilmington College Men's Baseball team. I have been playing baseball for the majority of my life, while earning first team all conference honors in my senior year. I also have a passion for coding, as I have created many HTML + CSS websites that include a personal portfolio.
