As Managing Director for BASF Ltd in Egypt and country cluster head for Egypt and the Levant countries, I am responsible for driving BASF’s growth in the region through leveraging Egypt’s position as a gateway to the Middle East and Africa. Countries under my responsibility include Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. I am also a member of the regional management team for BASF in Market Area Middle East and sit on the Board of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In more than three decades of experience with BASF, I have been in several leadership positions, most recently as managing director of BASF’s operations in Iran. Prior to this role, I have led many projects and teams, including in Germany, France, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Kazakhstan.
