About Xiaowei Dong

I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Manchester, with my project fully funded by Alliance Manchester Business School. My empirical research focuses on sustainable supply chain management, particularly in the areas of reverse logistics, product returns, repair, and remanufacturing. In addition to my doctoral research, I serve as a teaching assistant for supply chain-related modules at the MSc level and act as a second marker for BSc student dissertations and vivas at the University of Manchester. Prior to beginning my PhD, I worked in reverse supply chain planning at Lenovo Group. This industry experience has deepened my understanding of supply chain management and continues to enrich my research. My work aims to address real-world supply chain challenges, with a focus not only on theoretical contributions but also on identifying practical implications. I warmly welcome discussions and collaborations with experts from academia and industry.
