As a Senior Manager at Health Promotion Board, Xiaoyang leverages his extensive expertise in advanced analytics and data science to analyse and forecast trends of behavioural risk factors, health conditions, and major diseases. He plays a pivotal role in the formulation and review of national policies, strategies, and programmes aimed at promoting health and wellness across the population. Xiaoyang completed his PhD in Medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he focused on the discovery of novel biomarkers for early-stage breast cancer. Through the combination of both clinical research and machine learning techniques, his research aimed to develop a nomogram for risk stratification and diagnostics, which could significantly improve patient outcomes. In addition to his academic achievements, Xiaoyang is an enthusiastic learner of data science and artificial intelligence.
