About Xin Long

I've always had a natural curiosity for cultures. I was raised by a Hui family in China and experienced a different food culture in my childhood. Then I studied anthropology and criminal justice in the US, which deepened my understanding of cultures, diversity, and inclusion. Now, I am studying Science and Technology Studies at TUM, focusing on the coconstruction of technology and society and how it will influence the future. Life means endless adventures and challenges. During my Bachelor's studies, I volunteered at a local shelter for four months. Throughout the whole volunteer activity, I heard heartbroken domestic violence and abuse stories, helped my clients find a temporary place to live, and witnessed their recovery, pulling themselves together, and starting a new life. In my leisure time, I joined ISU Boxing Club and competed twice in the ring. Playing boxing added another layer to my studying-abroad experience and taught me persistence and teamwork. Now, I am eager to embrace a new life in Germany and ready to take new challenges. I love to connect with new people and build new relationships, so feel free to send me a message.
