Background

About Xing Chng

I am a third year biochemistry student with a passion for research, specifically in relation to biomedical and biochemical research. I currently work as a research peer mentor at the University of Texas at Austin, Freshman Research Initiative. My experience within the lab has familiarized me with many common experimental techniques and protocols, like PCR, plasmid transformations, transfections. These are skills that I am guiding other students through as a peer mentor, and presenting as a student researcher. Looking forward to connecting with like-minded people and exploring opportunities to further my experience in biochemical education and research.Proficiencies:Completed Courses: Organic Chemistry 2, Organic Chemistry Lab, Biochemistry, Microbiology LabLanguages: English, Spanish, MandarinSoftware: ApE Plasmid Editor, Pymol, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, CanvaProgramming Languages: Python, R
