About Xingdou Fu

My current work includes business/technical strategy making, R&D, and managing international collaboration with universities or other companies. My goal is to bring effective research to real products which is very important for real innovation. The confidence is from my R&D working experience and deep understanding in both academia and industry. I have 10 patents (include pending) and based on them 3 real products (3D sensors and robot bin picking system) for intelligent factory automation have been and to be commercialized. The output helped my company to expand their factory automation business to 3D applications from traditional 2D domain. My fields cover a wide span in computer vision/machine learning/AI for industry automation, for example 3D sensor (made first 3D sensor in 2004), 3D reconstruction, robot vision (e.g. Bin picking), mobile robot (SLAM/Navigation) and multi-robot (fleet/swarm) system etc. I have ever studied and worked in different countries and areas. That brings me an international mind affected by diverse cultures.
