I’m a Civil Engineering student at California State University, Chico, pursuing a structural engineering emphasis with an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. My studies and projects focus on structural analysis, seismic design, and sustainable infrastructure, building a strong foundation in creating safe and resilient structures. As a Civil Engineering Intern at Robertson Erickson, I’ve gained hands-on experience in Civil 3D and Bluebeam, producing topographic map submittals, easement plats, and civil plans, while contributing directly to design projects in a collaborative, small-firm environment. Working closely with licensed engineers has strengthened my technical precision, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities. I’m passionate about sustainability, seismic resilience, and the power of engineering to improve communities. My experiences studying abroad in Valencia, Spain, and working with Chico State’s International Education Office have also inspired my interest in international education and travel, reinforcing my belief in the importance of cultural understanding and global collaboration in engineering.
