About Xolisa Dhlamini

I am a professional in the financial services industry with a particular focus on employment benefits. I am a former academic in sustainable finance at the UCT Graduate School of Business’ Development Finance Centre. I hold the Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA) designation from the Chartered Institute of Development Finance. I hold the Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA) designation from the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies. I also hold the Licentiate Trustee designation from the Batseta Council of Retirement Funds. I am chairperson of the board at Just Share, a civil society organisation which advances investor activism regarding ESG issues. I am the former head of Africa for the UN-Supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Prior to PRI, I held investment consulting roles at leading firms in South Africa advising institutional investor.I have served on the board of trustees of the UCT Retirement Fund where I was also the chair of the Fund’s investment committee. I have been the lead researcher for the 4 latest editions of the African Investing for Impact Barometer analysing the spectrum of investing for impact strategies (IFI) implemented by public and private market fund managers in East, West and Southern Africa.
