About Xuan Bui

I graduated from UT Austin College of Pharmacy in I’ve worked in the hospital setting for the most part of my career. Started first pharmacist job with Methodist Hospital in Dallas, and stayed within the Methodist Health System until 2019. I’m board certified in pharmacotherapy, and currently enjoying working as relief pharmacist for Encompass Health of City View in Fort Worth, TX. Stepping back as a prn pharmacist was a big adjustment for me since I loved working. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize the value of staying home and being fully available to my young kids. Now I love it. I love being a full time mom, and also have time to really engage in continuing education and reading up on things that I have special interests in. I love being certified in pharmacotherapy since it allows me to continuously update my pharmacotherapy knowledge every year. The continuing education required to keep me certified is in-depth, and keep me updated with clinical pharmacy. Overall, as a pharmacist who had worked in different areas of hospital pharmacy, from being staff pharmacist to pharmacist in emergency department, I’m very satisfied with where I’ve been in my career. Being able to work prn while taking care of the family has been wonderful, and completed me as a professional as well as a mother.
