About Xuanxi Yang

After graduating from Carey business school, I was fortunate to work for a liberal arts college in New York's Adirondack Mountains. The work was multifaceted: recruiting international students for the college, building a summer program at the Adirondacks with partner NGOs and institutions, identifying opportunities for the college's students to study and intern aboard, increasing cross-cultural awareness, orchestrating events to cement a critical partner relationship, and leading an economic development (e-commerce) initiative to benefit the school and the surrounding Adirondack local community.This experience inspired me to open a small consulting business tailored to the needs of students desiring to explore learning opportunities in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and over the world. I engaged with students and parents, assessed their needs and goals, shared my experience as an international student in Japan and the United States, and provided guidance regarding the admissions process for U.S. and U.K. colleges and universities.I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with M.S. in Marketing. Before this, I worked at Shiseido China Research Center in Beijing as a researcher, conducting marketing research to support new product development and related advertising efforts for the Chinese consumer market.I studied the Japanese language and literature and cross-cultural communication in Beijing, China, and Nagasaki, Japan. I hold a B.A. in Japanese language and literature from Capital Normal University.
