About Xuejun du

As a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo, I am highly motivated to utilize my skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology. My academic background includes a Master's degree with a focus on human-computer interaction, information visualization, and data science. I have successfully completed two research projects, one exploring human-AI co-creative drawing in digital art therapy, and the other investigating data analysis pipeline and presentation in calcium imaging, showcasing my expertise in interdisciplinary research. During my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to participate in four co-op placements in the fields of gaming and math software development. This allowed me to gain hands-on experience with Unity and Unreal engines, as well as proficiency in various programming languages such as Python, C, C++, C#, R, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Furthermore, I contributed as a research assistant in bioinformatics and natural language processing, honing my research skills. As a passionate problem solver and quick learner, I am excited about collaborating with like-minded individuals to work on projects that can have a positive impact on society. Currently, I am actively seeking full-time opportunities in software development, data science, and HCI research, and I am confident that my experience and dedication make me a valuable addition to any team.
