About Yahav Manor

Hi, I'm Yahav! I’m currently a student in the School of Engineering at Tufts University majoring in Human Factors Engineering and minoring in Engineering Management. I'm a natural elocutionist and ambitious developer who believes that the user is the center of any successful design solution. I have previous experience working in the product design field, as I have worked in software development and UX in past summer internships. In July 2022, I received my UX Design Certificate through Google which helped me improve on both user research and interface design skills. Since then, I have been able to utilize and expand by abilities through my courses at Tufts and user research internships at the Glimpse Group and Red Hat. My unique abilities bring a blend of user experience, business, and software development. On the UX side, I have experience in user research methods (surveys, diary studies, moderated usability testing), affinity diagramming, actionable insight development, information architecture, interface design, and more. I am the Career Networking Coordinator of the Tufts Human Factors & Ergonomics Society and a Co-Director of the Tufts Human Factors Lab. I have a lot of knowledge about the business world, as I was a mentor at Eitanim, an entrepreneurship program for teens, throughout high school. I'm also pursuing a minor in Engineering Management, which requires me to take several managerial courses. Additionally, I have experience working in software development, for I have pursued this field in a past internship at the Glimpse Group and in academic courses, gaining knowledge of various coding languages (proficient in Java, C#, C++) and information systems. In my free time, I enjoy reading up on (and writing for!) the UX Collective and listening to podcasts, particularly Ear Biscuits or Ted Talks Daily.
