About Yang Fu

As a Sr. Counsel and European Patent Attorney at SABIC, one of the world's leading petrochemical companies, I manage the patent portfolio of a main product line that covers various polymer processing technologies and applications. I have over six years of experience in providing in-house IP counsel and support to internal clients and external partners across different regions and markets. My core competencies include conducting freedom to operate studies, establishing validity opinions, reviewing and optimizing portfolios, capturing and converting inventions into patent applications, prosecuting EP/PCT applications, and defending or opposing European patents. I also regularly support negotiations with third parties and draft IP related contracts, ensuring the protection and leverage of SABIC's IP assets and interests. My mission is to enable innovation and growth for SABIC and its customers through effective and strategic IP management.
