About Yani Pohl

I am a restoration ecologist and conservation biologist interested in social-ecological systems, human-wildlife interface zones, and conservation. I have a strong background in wildlife, ecology, invasive species, and habitat restoration. My experience includes endangered species, native plant, radio telemetry, and nesting raptor surveys, riparian habitat assessments, mapping, invasive plant monitoring, and restoration planning for both disturbed and agricultural lands. I am effective at interfacing diverse teams of stakeholders and have worked with interdisciplinary teams and completed Udall training in environmental conflict resolution. In addition, I have prepared and facilitated numerous environmental education programs both in the field and in the classroom for diverse audiences and organized targeted grassroots campaigns for wildlife and habitat conservation efforts.
