About Yannic Boyce

I am a third-year law student from Barbados, with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a very strong commitment to justice. My career journey has seen me work with training and experience in legal internships and advocacy roles, honing my ability to operate with clear-cut legal frameworks but with an eye towards the human.This interest in human rights and technology law is complemented by my experience in similar institutions such as the Supreme Court of Barbados, CARICOM Attorneys, and the Gulf Region Advocacy Center at Texas. All the capacities have afforded me hands-on experience in legal research, document drafting, and courtroom proceedings. I find this interaction of emerging technologies with these: privacy, intellectual property, and human rights-most of the areas where law needs to evolve to meet the requirements of the digital age.Apart from the legal background, my experiences in leadership have groomed my elocution and advocacy skills. These include serving as Public Relations Officer for the Cave Hill Law Society and Head Rapporteur for the Caribbean Court of Justice Academy for Law. My intention is to join law firms who are dedicated to making a difference in society either by advancing human rights or unraveling the intricacies of regulations dealing with advanced technology.I am really looking forward to interfacing with professionals and firms driven to create innovative legal solutions to global issues.
