About Yannick de Buf

With over a decade of experience in facility and fleet management, I specialize in optimizing operations, streamlining processes, and driving technical and strategic improvements across organizations. Currently, I serve as a Facility Coordinator at Group Daenens, where I am the central point of contact for all facility-related matters. My work combines hands-on technical coordination with operational excellence and a strong client-focused approach. At Group Daenens, I manage building infrastructure (HVAC, fire safety, access control), support IT and telephony infrastructure, oversee fleet operations, and coordinate on-site projects in collaboration with contractors. As a key user of our Facility Management System (Planon), I focus on data-driven process improvements, service delivery reporting, and administrative accuracy to ensure legal compliance and operational clarity. Previously, I held roles at ABO-Group Environment, International Car Operators, PMV, and H&M, where I led multi-site facility management, contractor coordination, energy efficiency projects, and procurement. My expertise includes maintenance management, contract negotiation, compliance, and team leadership in both office and industrial environments. Outside of work, I’m the co-founder of Running, a Bruges-based running crew that supports runners—especially marathoners—in reaching their goals. I’m also a certified surf coach and ocean safety advocate, with a published analysis on surf brand marketing in the World Championship Tour. Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, I bring linguistic versatility and cultural fluency to every role. With a practical, solution-oriented mindset and a strong technical foundation, I aim to continuously improve operational efficiency, enhance sustainability, and create meaningful value for businesses and communities.
