About Yap Chee Seong

Imagine a world where all diseases have a cure and all patients can access and afford those medicines. This has been a vision that guides my passion and bring me sense of purpose in pharmaceutical industry - to serve and save lives of patients around the world.In the face of global complexities and challenges eg aging population, it remains critically important for pharmaceutical facilities to meet such growing demand by supplying life-saving and new innovative medicines to patients in need. To this end, I have managed and delivered multiple new material / product / technology introduction CapEx projects (up to USD$10MM) and line start-up across chemical API, Biologics fill-and-finish and packaging facilities while building people capability and expanding plant capacity. I also led multiple production investigations and process improvements which yielded annual operational cost savings (up to $200k), manhour reduction, line downtime (up to 300 hours) etc.I grab each opportunity to connect with different people across multiple business functions for collaboration. Having worked with and learnt from multiple successful leaders/mentors throughout my career, I am inspired to deepen my leadership and strategic thinking skills to support business and people. I also like coaching juniors by imparting knowledge and experience from my operational, technical and quality background, allowing them to accelerate their understanding to excel in their area. My greatest satisfaction comes from achieving each project milestone and growing together with a team of talented people.I am motivated to solve new business / technical challenges, build connections for partnership and explore new ways of delivering value in pharmaceutical industry to make a difference in patient lives.
