Hi! I'm Yara, a Rehabilitation Specialist, Occupational Therapist, and mentor passionate about enabling positive change and engagement in meaningful occupations. My Journey: With a strong history of running my own Occupational Therapy practice and serving as a Board Member of Ergotherapie Austria, I have gained extensive expertise in Occupational Therapy, stress management, and professional regulation. My current focus is on empowering rehabilitation professionals through mentoring, marketing strategies, and digital competencies, helping them adapt and thrive in an evolving global healthcare landscape. Leadership & Global Collaboration: As Vice President of the Council of Occupational Therapists for the European Countries (COTEC), I play a key role in representing and advocating for the occupational therapy profession across Europe. My work with Physiopedia's ReLAB HS project and the International Rehabilitation Education and Training Toolkit (IRETT) empowers professional associations worldwide, particularly in low-resource settings, to integrate rehabilitation into healthcare systems. As a mentor for the Professionalisation and Regulation Reflection Tool, I contribute to developing sustainable frameworks for education, regulation, and professional growth. Education & Expertise: I hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy and an MSc in Health Assisting Engineering, along with certifications in Stress Management, Burnout Prevention, and Health Coaching. My expertise now extends to marketing and digital transformation, equipping me to support therapists and organisations in leveraging innovation for impactful outcomes.
