Greetings everyone,I’m Yashesh Shah, currently completing my Master’s in Biotechnology at Northeastern University (expected Dec 2024), where I’m expanding on my background in molecular biology, drug toxicity, and cell culture. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India, building a strong foundation in advanced biotechnology and bioengineering principles. Research and Technical Expertise: With hands-on experience in various research domains, I specialize in DMPK/pharmacology, high-throughput drug metabolism studies (PK/PD analysis), and cancer research. As a Research Associate at Prime Medicine, I lead efforts in optimizing LC-MS assays, performing qPCR, NGS, ELISA, and conducting comprehensive metabolite and protein protection assays. My work supports advancements in lipid nanoparticle formation, driving innovation in bioanalytical and mechanistic research. Industry Experience: I’ve cultivated a solid foundation in lab research and biotechnological techniques through prior roles, including my time as a Research Intern at International Stem Cell Services Limited and as a Lab Research Assistant at SRM Institute, where I conducted critical studies in gene editing, nanoparticle synthesis, and cytotoxicity analysis. My research on chitosan nanoparticles encapsulated with bioactive compounds for targeted cancer therapy has been published in Applied Pharmaceutical Science. Career Objective: Passionate about the intersection of biotechnology and therapeutic development, I am actively seeking R&D roles where I can leverage my skills in bioanalysis, drug discovery, and bioimaging to drive impactful outcomes in biotech innovation.
