About Yasin Simsek

Mr Yasin is based in Istanbul and Bruxelle offices of PHD Law Consulting and has experience advising organizations on all aspects of dispute resolution, including claim analysis, strategic direction, contractual analysis and interpretation, settlement negotiations, bringing and defending high value complex cross-border disputes, case management, trial preparation and post judgement/award issues on mainly commercial, real estate and contracts law. Yasin has advised clients in several commercial litigations and arbitrations under ICC and ICSID institutional rules as well as ad hoc arbitrations pursuant to the UNCITRAL arbitration rules. The cases he works on often contain aspects of foreign and international law. His most recent experience includes several commercial arbitrations regarding the supply agreement and damages resulting from non-performance of the agreement. Yasin also advises clients on possibilities for international enforcement (or resisting enforcement) of arbitral awards and final judgements, debt collection, green field investments, real estate acquisition and all forms contracts drafting or reviewing. Mr. Yasin has vast experience of collaborating with many law firms in more than 30 different jurisdiction and countries for the legal needs of his clients. Yasin completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University, following which he completed an Equivalence degree comprising Civil and Common Law at the Faculty of law, McGill University. He also completed a special summer program provided by Penn State Dickinson and McGill University on International Arbitration and Transborder Litigation Yasin is member of both Istanbul Bar and Barreau de Bruxelles Ordre Français (Liste B)
