Experienced laboratory professional (MLS (ASCP) cm) with over 15 years of experience working in acute care labs and eventually in lab leadership. Experienced in collaborating in cross-functional teams to design, implement and quality assess ancillary lab testing in healthcare facilities including hospitals and health clinics affiliated with hospitals. Currently the lab and ancillary services manager at a 40+ physician multi-specialty group with 14 direct reports. Overseeing the phlebotomy lab, testing lab, imaging lab and pulmonary functions lab. I have distinguished proficiency in writing and editing documents such as Standard Operating Procedures. Robust understanding of all CAP, CLIA, TJC, ISO 15189 and State requirements. Successfully demonstrated regulatory knowledge by maintaining accreditation from top regulatory agencies throughout my leadership tenure since 2015. My leadership tenure took off in 2015 as the POC lab supervisor and ultimately the interim phlebotomy supervisor with 30 direct reports. In 2018 my role as the chemistry technical specialist strengthened my mentoring skills with lab techs across 3 shifts. As of March 2021 I was officially managing my own team of 21 direct reports as the core lab supervisor at MHH. Exceptional practice in managing waived, non-waived and high complexity testing programs. Ability to adapt in increasingly stressful environments while upholding professionalism and core values.
