About Yaz Samat

Yaz brings a wealth of formal and practical experience to your table. A numbers man at heart, he studied accounting and business management at CUNY. His career began as an accounting clerk at American Express, then to Supervisor of Accounts Payable and Manager of Billings and Renewals for American Express Publishing. His knowledge base and practical experience expanded at HSBC Markets as Vice President of Financial Systems and was instrumental in their global accounting conversion. His entrepreneurial side emerged when he became a partner and a Value Added Re-seller of an International Accounting Software firm; of which, he had offices in London, Dublin, and New York. He engaged sales and consulting services to the Fortune 500 and consistently traveled the globe for his clients. Wanting change, Yaz decided to venture into Manhattan real estate. Within 2 years he qualified and obtained his NYS Real Estate Brokers license. His real estate career is inclusive of boutique residential firm, mid size full service firm, and large commercial firm. He successfully grew and developed a small firm in the Village from 5 agents to over 20 agents covering residential and commercial real estate. After several years, he decided to venture out on his own and has been a successful independent broker. In 2021 he decided to engage the challenge and open up the New York market as Broker of Record for onefinestay, an international high end luxury real estate firm. The launch was successful and the firm continues to build. In Addition to real estate brokering, Yaz taught real estate at Baruch College - CAPS. Why?"Because of my years in this industry, I have witnessed the good, the bad, and the unprofessional's. Teaching real estate at Baruch was my way of improving the real estate brokerage community and building better brokers one class at a time!" First & foremost he loves to be with his family & friends. He enjoys fine dining, gardening, woodworking, music, & making the family's homemade wine:)
