An award winning chef in the international culinary competition arena, he is currently the Culinary Director at Din Tai Fung under Breadtalk group. Former Culinary Advisor & Executive chef with Unilever Food Solutions, South East Asia, where he specializes in the area of culinary training, research & development, applications, customer development, food manufacturing & consumer goods industries. His first career at the former Westin Stamford & Westin Plaza upon graduation where he honed his culinary skills at the hotel various food & beverage outlets. Next follow by Givaudan, the world leading flavours & fragrances MNC where he was trained in the research & development & flavours application. He spent 4 years with the company in the Foodservice & Savory department.In the 2009 APEC Global leaders’ summit in Singapore, he was one of the 4 Singaporeans chefs invited to create the menu and cooked for the world leaders like President Obama of the USA, President Hu Jin Tao of China and Prime minster Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore with many more of the world leaders. In 2010 International Women’s Forum Singapore, he invited with Singapore Chefs Association & Singapore culinary national team, cooked for widely known, deceased 1st Singapore Prime Minster, deceased Mr Lee Kuan Yew.A keen culinary competition enthusiast, he has established a distinguish record of achievements in both local & international culinary competitions’ arena. From Asia to Middle East & Europe, he has received outstanding recognition as an individual competitor as well as culinary excellence with the Singapore National Culinary Team. As a Team Captain for the Singapore National Culinary Team, he has helped to put Singapore on the world culinary map through Gold medals and Championships success in several World Association of Chefs Society endorsed global and international culinary competitions. He is mentor for Singapore national team, China national team (2016) & Taiwan national team (2018)
