About Yen Vu

Yen graduated from Oregon State University with an MS degree in Marketing Insights and Analytics. She is now holding a work visa (H-1B). During her master course, she did many projects that require a heavy component of marketing and analytics such as digital marketing, search marketing with SEO and SEM tools, social CRM with a focus on social media strategies, data visualization, data mining with tools and programming languages like Tableau, RapidMiner, SQL, Python. Ultimately, she has learned to look at the holistic view of analysis to give recommendations to improve the performance of businesses like Amazon, Yelp, Yuba Bikes, Beyond Meat. She also took courses of finance, business law, statistics, operation management, marketing management, consumer behavior. Yen is a hard-working student. She was rewarded by the Continued Success Scholarship from Oregon State University for fall term 2019, winter term 2010, spring term 2020. Besides school, she actively participated in many leadership-focused activities and volunteered during orientation weeks on campus. She had various work experience in inventory management, marketing, sales, administration and customer service. She has learned that no matter a firm does, the core value should always come from customers because they are the ones who keep a company survived. She dealt a lot with customers who always wanted to change their requirement towards a contract or a service as well as a product. They asked a lot before making decisions, and it was not easy to negotiate with them. She has learned to persuade them that the company will give them the best service and product, thus saw many of them keep coming back and becoming loyal customers. While Yen was at her undergraduate school, she participated in many competitions hosted by either school or institutes outside of campus. She became really interested in entrepreneurship with start-up ideas, and how businesses can change people’ lives. She also joined some clubs and organizations which have developed her compassion to help people, inspire them to be positive, have hope in life, and work hard. Because if you don’t move on, you’ll be left behind. And if you don’t have enough resources, stand on the shoulders of giants. She has grown her interpersonal communication, negotiation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and management skills. With her academic background, work experience, and skill sets, Yen is a competitive candidate who can contribute to the success story of any companies or organizations that want to recruit her.
