About Yi Wei
My PhD research background and focus is engineering polymeric materials, specifically chemical and mechanical surface modification of polymers. I am experienced in most materials characterization techniques, surface patterning techniques commonly used in semi-conductor manufacturing, nano-scale fabrication and metallurgy. Besides experimental materials engineering, currently I am also working on simulation modeling for studying materials elastic deformation and surface morphology and topography. At University of Florida, I am currently working as graduate research assistant, teaching assistant, and mentor for senior research projects.
