Background

About Ying Yang

The Yang Lab at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting graduate students in the area of polymer science for Spring and Fall 2020 admissions. We are also looking for a postdoc to join our lab.Research in our lab is directed toward the development of reversibly crosslinked polymer networks with multifunctionalities and improved sustainability. At the interface of synthetic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and soft materials, students will be involved in the design, synthesis, and characterization of polymers with dynamically re-arrangeable structures. Students will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge research in polymer mechano-chemistry, biomimicking hybrid materials, self-healing, and shape shifting polymers. These dynamic polymers will be utilized to develop 3-D printing materials, wearable sensors, and soft robotics.
