About Yinxi Wang

I received an MD degree from Peking University; after that, I geared my interest towards data science and got a master degree in health informatics. Now I have been devoted to the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence(AI) based data analysis in the healthcare domain for over 6 years. I'm currently a fourth-year PhD at karolinska institutet, and my research interests are developing deep learning models with a particular focus in computational pathology and precision medicine. I also work with a variety of machine learning methods for predictive modelling. I have been the lead on two high-impact research studies, one project focused on improved and cost-efficient risk stratification for breast cancer patients with an intermediate risk, the second aims to unveil novel information that is not identifiable by human eyes from routine pathological images. I also work as an AI scientist at Stratipath AB, where we strive to translate our research findings into regulatorily approved product for improved precision medicine. It is high time to leverage AI based tools for real world application, I'm so thrilled to be part of this, looking forward to more exciting possibilities!
