About Yixin Pan

I am currently a software engineer at FactSet under the Data Solution and Content Engineering. I graduated from Columbia University with an M.S. degree in Computer Science under Natural Language Processing track. I also achieved a B.S. degree from Johns Hopkins University with major in Computer Science and minor in Entrepreneurship & Management. In school, I consolidated my programming skills and accumulated object-oriented programming experience from several extracurricular projects such as architecting a Course Assistant Hiring platform for the CS department. With an internship at Revased (sponsored by Johns Hopkins University) and Amazon, I gained industry experience and extended my abilities in new context learning and high-standard programming. During this time, I designed and architected an automated personalized finite state machine onboarding system to simplify the human efforts of manually updating the configuration/schema across multiple teams so that the customer's wait time is significantly reduced. Area of specialty: Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Full-stack web/mobile development, data analytics, data visualization, UI design, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing.
