About Yize Yuan

I got my master's degree at Western University last year and my bachelor's degree at McMaster University. I have four coop experiences as a business and data analyst during my summer vacation. My current full-time work is as an AML analyst in a Bank. My main responsibility is reviewing alerts, investigating cases, drafting notes for cases and bring to UA meetings for approval. Once the cases are approved to file STR, I need to draft Section G input to F2R and submit it to the manager for review. After the STRs are submitted I will maintain the case management system, including writing notes, updating status, saving all support documents and closing the case. I also deal with some name-screening alerts. Previously, I gained hands-on experience in data analysis and credit scoring during my last 4 experiences, where I used Python and SAS to generate quantitative and visual credit reports for clients, enabling them to make informed financial decisions. I also used data analysis to identify higher-return securities, leveraging this information to promote customer acquisition and retention. Through these experiences, I have demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, and business acumen skills and the ability to investigate different AML cases.
