About Yj Shin

I stopped managing a team from 2019 which I enjoyed doing last 11 years. From 2019 I started learning and working on completely new job - ASIC implementation. I know it's going to be tough and I will go through rough times but I'm convinced and determined to make myself committed to this new challenge. From 2019 I also started my personal travel blog using my spare time with a small dream to travel the world and leave my stories behind for my next generations. If you are interested in my blog please check this website : In the past I had been doing the full custom layout design for more than 20 some years and managed a small team since 2007 till 2019. Mostly SRAM recent years and embedded DRAM in the distant past. Full custom testchip design was every day task in the furthest past and SRAM macro development using compilers was a main daily task in the last several years. Simple and easy scripting is my daily friend. Setting up extraction environment for designers and helping resolve issues from not so user friendly extraction errors were secondary job. I enjoy solving problems and issues. People person. Not so much outgoing but at the same time not so quiet.
