About Ylva Hellgren-Tibaldi

I care about building systems that people can see themselves in — especially in education. My work sits at the intersection of inclusion, participation, Swedish integration, and long‑term impact. I focus on strengthening public education by creating frameworks where children, young people, and professionals feel heard and valued — particularly those whose voices are often missing from the table. With a calm and grounded presence, I bring structure, collaboration, and strategic clarity to complex situations. I’m not the loudest in the room — and I don’t need to be. What I offer is steadiness, reflection, and the perspective of people first. I hold a Master of Social Sciences and combine hands‑on, local‑level experience with a deep understanding of how education systems function in Finland. I’m currently pursuing further studies in pedagogical leadership and development work, due to finish in 2026 — learning that continually shapes how I approach equity and strategic change. Right now, my work for the city of Helsinki involves cross‑sector projects such as: Student voice and participation Contributing to city‑level initiatives that address family-school collaborations, segregation, and sustainable development Multilingualism and Swedish integration Strategic planning and capacity development I’m drawn to settings where the issues are layered and complex — and where the aim is lasting, meaningful change.
