I recently completed my master’s in industrial engineering from Iowa State University and have a bachelor’s in manufacturing. I have three years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, process optimization, quality control, and inventory management. I've worked in high-volume production environments, focusing on efficiency, defect reduction, cost optimization, and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). I was a Graduate teaching assistant for 2 courses, IE 305, Engineering Economics Analysis, and IE 348, Solidification Processes, used to conduct lab for welding casting and forging, and NDT to identify defects. At Ranco Fertiservice, I worked on process improvement and inventory management, updated and designed sops and WI for Jigs, fixtures and manufacturing processes, I implemented a sensor-based FASTBin Kanban system with Fastenal company to automate inventory tracking and reduce stockouts, ensuring smooth production. I also led time studies and defect analysis, which improved cycle times by 33%, reduced defects by 15%, and boosted OEE by 20%. At Aryan Automation, I focused on supplier audits, process validation, and Six Sigma initiatives, reducing defects from 20% to 5% and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and ASME Section 9 compliance. I also worked on training workers, optimizing layouts, and improving first-pass yield through data-driven decision-making. My experience in inventory control, supplier coordination, and lean manufacturing helped streamline operations and reduce downtime At Shell Eco-Marathon, I worked on optimizing a battery-powered vehicle, improving efficiency from 97 km/kWh to 138.6 km/kWh. This gave me hands-on experience with energy efficiency, battery systems, and material optimization. At the RINL Steel plant, I assisted with process audits and defect reduction in steel manufacturing and, using Lean Six Sigma to reduce production defects by 15% and in the wire rope mill to improve workflow efficiency and decrease the cycle time on working on the kanban system and kaizen system. I love working on the shop floor, finding and fixing issues, and making processes better. I’m a reliable team player and always ready to step up when needed.
