About Yogesh Singla

Currently, I am working as a Research Associate/Post-Doc Fellow in Materials Science and Engineering Department at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA. My research area in post doc is energy efficient die casting of aluminum alloys. I have completed Ph.D. in October 2016 under the supervision of Professor Navneet Arora & Professor D.K. Dwivedi in the Department of Mechanical & industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee on topic titled "Development of Rare Earth Modified Fluxes to Enhance Wear Resistance". As a part of my PhD work, I have extensively worked on the study of microstructure and phase transformation processes of rapidly solidified iron-based hardfacing alloys (hardfaced through welding), mechanical properties, tribological properties and their relationship with the microstructure. I have also fabricated cheaper wear test setups and a welding setup. I have hands on experience to work with basic machines and tools, gained during Ph.D. and Post-Doc Fellowship.
