I am a highly qualified, proactive, and motivated scientist with over 15 years of experience in plant tissue culture, micropropagation, genetic improvement and genomics. I also possess extensive hands-on expertise in agriculture, having spent four years working directly with small farmers in southern Brazil.Currently, my research interests focus on the mutualistic relationships between plants and fungi, exploring both ecological dynamics and their potential biotechnological applications. I am seeking opportunities to further expand my knowledge in this field and explore related research areas.At present, I am working with third-generation sequencing technologies, particularly the MinION platform (Oxford Nanopore Technologies), to investigate the genomes of two newly described species of mycorrhizal fungi, which were a central part of my PhD research. Additionally, I am studying the capacity of these fungal species to form mutualistic associations with various plant species.
