I have been a part of Canada’s leading commercial real estate financing team since October 2018, bringing experience and precedents gained from exposure to diverse commercial asset classes and scenarios. First National Financial is Canada's largest non-bank lender, originating, underwriting and servicing both residential and commercial mortgages. As the leading lender of CMHC and conventional mortgages, First National currently has approximately $100 billion in mortgages under administration. I have always loved real estate, both the financing and ownership aspects of it. I began my career at a private brokerage and then moved to CIBC, where I spent five years in residential mortgages and five years in commercial mortgages. Focusing primarily on office, retail and industrial, I gained unique skills in dealing with the specificities and complexities of underwriting and analysis for those asset classes. My client relationships tend to extend beyond the professional. I feel that it is important to understand the person, not just the business. Lifestyle, dreams and family dynamics all help to colour and shape a client’s objectives. With earned trust and genuine intimacy, I am to advise with more depth, encompassing portfolio development, overall business planning and even estate planning as it relates to real estate.
